- Cohort
- Follow Up
- Each municipality was contacted in the beginning of 1999, in 2004 and in 2011 for information about emigration from the municipality, present residency and vital status (mortality follow-up covers the whole country). In Lombardia Region, hospital discharge records are available since 1987 and was used as the source of identification of nonfatal coronary and stroke events. Deaths are followed up locally beyond the time period covered in the MORGAM data.
- Supplementary Information
- Deaths and cardiovascular events are followed up for the harmonized MORGAM data, see detailed information on follow-up procedures used for in the MORGAM e-publication.
