- Follow Up
- National Health Service (NHS) Registry and Office of National Statistics (ONS) are used for mortality follow-up. Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) and electronic health records are used for follow-up of non-fatal coronary and stroke events. Re-examinations of participants are done 4 times (phases II - V) approximately every 5 years after the baseline (phase I) and subjects were asked about all hospital admissions, particularly those for cardiovascular disease.
- Supplementary Information
-
Deaths and cardiovascular events are followed up for the harmonized MORGAM data, see detailed information on follow-up procedures used for MORGAM data in the MORGAM e-publication.

Description of the access procedures
Biosamples and local data available are described in the study webpage. An independent steering committee reviews all requests for collaboration, read more about collaborating in the study webpage.
For access to the harmonized MORGAM data from many MORGAM Centres, one should seek a collaboration with any of the Centre which can submit a publication proposal to the MORGAM/BiomarCaRE Steering Group.
