Cohort
Follow Up
Record linkage with the National Death Index and Regional Mortality registers and the MONICA Catalonia coronary event Register were systematically conducted. In addition, members of Cohort 01 were re-contacted for interview and re-examination ten years after the baseline survey and members of Cohort 02 were contacted directly by telephone to answer the follow-up questionnaire, eight years after the baseline survey. Vital status of the non-responders was checked with the mortality register.
Supplementary Information
Deaths and cardiovascular events are followed up for the harmonized MORGAM data, see detailed information on follow-up procedures in the MORGAM e-publication.
