Follow Up
The municipalities were contacted every five years for information about vital status, emigration and residency of the respondents; from 1996 onwards municipalities were contacted every year. The participants were linked to the mortality and disease event registers.
Supplementary Information
Deaths, cardiovascular events and strokes are followed up for the harmonized MORGAM data, see the detailed information on follow-up procedures in MORGAM e-publication.
