- The cohort members are linked to different National Health Registers (e.g., death register, medicines, cancer, diabetes, MI and stroke event registers) using the personal identification code. In 1999, all cohort members in the survey years 1986-1994 were re-invited for the health examination.
- Supplementary Information
- Deaths, cardiovascular events, type 2 diabetes, and cancers are followed up for the MORGAM data, see the detailed information on follow-up procedures used for harmonized MORGAM data in MORGAM e-publication. In the local data follow-up is available for all participants until the end of 2020.

After completion of analyses, the analysis data should be delivered to the Biobank Research Unit for archiving.
Description of the access procedures
Local data available are described in the webpage of Swedish National Data Service. The application process to access the data and available biosamples and variables are described in the Biobank Research Unit webpage: access to samples and data from the Northern Sweden Health and Disease Study.
For access to the harmonized MORGAM data from many MORGAM Centres, one should seek a collaboration with any of the Centre which can submit a publication proposal to the MORGAM/BiomarCaRE Steering Group.
