- Follow Up
- The municipalities were contacted every five years for information about vital status, emigration and residency of the respondents; from 1996 onwards municipalities were contacted every year. The participants were linked to the mortality and disease event registers. Vital status and cause of mortality, fatal and non-fatal coronary and cerebrovascular events are followed up. Two of the cohorts are re-examined in 1993-1996.
- Supplementary Information
- Deaths and cardiovascular events are followed up for the harmonized MORGAM data. See the detailed information on follow-up procedures in MORGAM e-publication.
