- The Tarnobrzeg MONICA Study was conducted by the Department of Epidemiology and Population Studies, Institute of Public Health, Faculty of Health Care, Medical College Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. The study is also known as the POL-MONICA Krakow Study.

- The cohorts were linked to the Voivodship Death Register to identify the deaths. Record linkage was done using person's date of birth and address. Person's moving out of the area of Voivodship were received from the Local Address Register.
- Supplementary Information
- Only deaths are followed up (official underlying cause of death is available) for the harmonized MORGAM data, see detailed information on follow-up procedures in MORGAM e-publication.
